This is my life verse. Whenever I’m afraid or down, this verse always reminds me that God is the light that leads me. That God is the source of my strength to walk. I will not fear, I will not be afraid, for God is with me and he will protect me.
Mind if you tell me yours? :)
Sin can be like a dense fog that clouds your judgment and prevents you from seeing clearly. In Jesus, however, you are given a new life and a new set of eyes! You can “paddle” away from the foggy past into the presence of the Holy Spirit each morning. Find that quiet place in the morning and enjoy God’s tender presence.
We all long for security, peace, and comfort. We want to feel safe, so we try to insulate our lives from pain. The truth is that all of our attempts in our own strength, fall short. As you pray today, confess that He alone is your security, peace, and strength! Praise Jesus for helping you through the inevitable hardships of life.
Self-centeredness is the problem of the human condition. We naturally look out for ourselves and no one else. The way of Jesus is much different. He invites us to lose our lives, to find true life in surrender to Him. In prayer today, confess your lack of love for others. Ask God to help you see the needs of others, and begin serving them in Jesus’ Name.
Just as we put on clothes each day, the Bible instructs us to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ.” Are you struggling with lust today? Maybe it’s a different temptation. Whatever the case may be, turn from your sin today and trust God for His forgiveness. He is much greater and stronger than the temptation you face
Who or what do you place the most faith in? Our human nature will trust in almost anything…except God. Resist the urge to operate from your own strength today. Rise up with faith in prayer, today. Declare your trust in Jesus Christ and confidently place your hope in He who promises to be your refuge.
Have you been guilty of worshipping idols? The truth is that we ALL have. The Bible says that wanting what other people have (coveting) is idolatry. As you talk with God in prayer today, ask Him to free you from greed, envy, and jealousy. Confess these sins and trust Jesus to give you a new contentment in Him!
SET ASIDE YOUR PRIDE The heart of pride is worship of self. People prone to pride arrogantly elevate themselves and tend to take control. When we do this, we push God’s activity out of our lives and distance ourselves from Him. We are all guilty of some form of it, no matter what shade it may take, and we must be honest with ourselves and ask God for His forgiveness.
LET GO OF YOUR ANGER Anger is a normal human reaction, but it can be dangerous and deceptive. It can be poisonousness as it fiercely defends our mistaken belief that “we deserve better,” and attacks anyone who gets in the way. Has anger taken control of you, recently? Ask God for His forgiveness and always be willing to forgive others.
Like A Fire - Planetshakers
but if I say, “I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.
All sin can be placed into two categories. There are sins of commission (doing things we shouldn’t do) and sins of omission (failing to do things we know we should). As you pray today, ask God to show you how you can follow Jesus more faithfully. Trust the Holy Spirit to bring specific new steps of obedience to your mind. You will be amazed at what He shows you!
There is a war waging within every human life. Through prayer, you are wise to quickly and humbly confess your need for Jesus. It is His blood that gives you salvation. It is His Spirit that empowers you. It is His Word that guides your life. Praise Him in prayer for being such a loving, patient, and merciful God. He is worthy of your love and affection.

Desire God first.
Let God satisfy the longing of your heart.
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that I will seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
