Have you ever wondered why God gave us two ears but only one mouth? Perhaps it is because we were meant to listen more than talk! Jesus said that “…whatever is in your heart determines what you say.” (Matthew 12:34) In prayer, confess the ways you’ve been too loose with your tongue, and with the same tongue praise Him for forgiveness!
C.S. Lewis said that “God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, but shouts in our pains…” Is God trying to get your attention today? In prayer today, talk with God about your attitude. Confess your sin and ask for a heart that trusts in Him even amidst life’s hardships.
Hello Everyone :) I just want to share something with you guys.
Today (February 2, 2013) I joined in Kid’s Ministry in the church where I’m attending. I volunteered and awhile ago I received a text message, and yey! I got in. I’ll be starting to observe how the kid’s ministry goes tomorrow, and I’m so excited. I do not know how can handle it or be consistent in it, but I know that God gave me this opportunity to train the next generation in order for them to know and love God, love others, for them to experience and encounter the presence of God in a powerful way and to make difference in their lives and allow God to mold them to be who He wants them to be.
You know what, having a relationship with God, is the best relationship you’ll ever have. If you let Him lead your life, everything will be in order. You can do anything, not by your will power, but through Him anything is possible. You’ll have peace in your heart, a very very nice feeling. Even if a lot of pressures may run in your life, if you have God everything will flow smoothly. You will really feel the presence of Him in your life, nothing compares to that :) . If you’ll only allow Him to enter your life, I tell you, you won’t regret it.
For those who read this, Thank you. ^^ God bless and God speed.
Have you been guilty of worshipping idols? The truth is that we ALL have. The Bible says that wanting what other people have (coveting) is idolatry. As you talk with God in prayer today, ask Him to free you from greed, envy, and jealousy. Confess these sins and trust Jesus to give you a new contentment in Him!
SET ASIDE YOUR PRIDE The heart of pride is worship of self. People prone to pride arrogantly elevate themselves and tend to take control. When we do this, we push God’s activity out of our lives and distance ourselves from Him. We are all guilty of some form of it, no matter what shade it may take, and we must be honest with ourselves and ask God for His forgiveness.
Let God satisfy the longing of your heart.
One thing have I desired of the LORD, that I will seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.
Focus on the solution, not the problem. Follow your heart, not your ego. Trust GOD, not people.
